If your information is entered accurately and there isn't any duplication, after clicking continue you will be see this brief screen, as shown below, before QuickBooks saves your contacts and takes you back to the previous "Add" screen where you can continue with your other additions.

QuickBooks 2008 through 2011

Here you will choose the type of business you are operating. The choice you make will turn on the features for that choice. If you are a service based business and plan on selling products later on or vice versa, you should select the "Both services and products" option.
